Edwards - Round Two 03/10/2008
 Jacklyn: Only one more day until your birthday! What are you gonna wish for?  Derrick: If I told you, it wouldn't come true!  Aspiration: Knowlege  Derrick: For her "present" Alyssa took me shopping for new clothes. Apparently an orange shirt clashes with my red hair. I don't see why it matters; I've devoted my life to the study of science, not getting girls. She means well though, so I went along with it.  Alyssa: Much better!  Derrick: I was looking forward to my first day of high school- finally I'd actually learn something- but overnight it snowed a couple feet and school was canceled! Jacob and Alyssa had a blast playing in the snow, but I would have rather had classes.  Alyssa: Trust me, Derrick, snow days are a good thing. Now come build a snowman with me!  Derrick: Other than that one snow day life went on as normal. Mom and Dad each got a couple of new promotions, and Dad got a cool new military training course that he taught me how to use. Not that I ever plan on joining the army, though admittedly I would be good at strategy and war tactics- I kill everyone in the house at chess.  Derrick: Alyssa's still helping mom out with the family business- she does have a knack for makeovers.  Derrick: Soon Alyssa and Jacob are going to college, and I'll have the house to myself! Then I can get some real studying done. |
