Janine: Today was the first day of winter. As soon as there was enough snow on the ground, Emily rushed outside to build a snowman.

Janine: Meanwhile I stayed cozy inside with Patrick. He really is an amazing guy. I spend most of my free time with him.

Janine: However, between work and dates with Patrick, I don't really have much time for Emily. I'm lucky she's such a responsible young girl, because she has to be home alone all the time.

Janine: She always does her homework, and she helps out around the house.

Janine: Sure, she invites her guy friends over all the time, but I trust her to make good decisions.

Janine: Like I said, I'm lucky to have a daughter who I can trust to stay out of trouble while she's home alone.
