Andrew: So far the move to Crystalline Valley has proven to be a great idea. I've already gotten a promotion or two and Patrick's found himself a job, also. He's very secretive about it, but it certainly pays well. We've already started renovating the house.

Andrew: Rebecca's doing great at her new school. Not only does she have excellent grades..

Andrew: She's already got tons of new friends. It seems like we always have teenagers swarming around our house. And not just girls, boys too.

Andrew: I'm a little worried about how much time she spends with one boy in particular.

Rosemary: You worry too much. At least Rebecca brings her boyfriend home. Patrick spends more time at Janine's house than he does here, but he hasn't invited her over once since her last visit.
Andrew: This is my only granddaughter we're talking about. I can't help but worry. As for Patrick.. have you ever considered the possibility that he doesn't want you interfering?
Rosemary: Nonsense! If it weren't for my interfering Pat would never have met the girl.
Andrew: Whatever you say, dear.

Andrew: With Rosemary's nudging, I finally suggested to Patrick that he bring Janine home.
Patrick: You know how Mom is. She'll be planning the wedding before dinner.
Andrew: You really like this girl, huh?
Patrick: Yes, but I'm trying not to rush things, which is exactly what Mom will do.
Andrew: Oh, don't worry, I understand one hundred percent. But you should still invite Janine over to appease your mother.

Andrew: Patrick finally did invite Janine over, but she didn't stay long.
Rosemary: So you and my son make quite the cute couple!
Janine: Um, thanks.
Rosemary: Did you ever think about marr-
Patrick: Janine! We better get going or we'll lose our reservation!

Andrew: The reservation was at the Five Star Resturaunt down the road. A bit pretentious, but Patrick had heard the food was excellent and so he chose it as the place for his and Janine's first real date.

Andrew: Meanwhile, Rosemary had our own little date back home. There's no such thing as "too old!"
