Alyssa: Jacob and I were leaving for college in a few days. We had all our scholarships lined up, we had chosen what we were going to major in, and we even knew which dorm we were going to be living in. But there was still one thing I hadn't done! So I invited Zac over.

Alyssa: Because who's ever heard of a college girl who hasn't even had her first kiss? Hello? How embarrassing would that be?

Alyssa: The night before we were supposed to leave, I lay in bed, thinking about my future, and whether Zac would play any part in it- Okay, he's a player now, but he might grow out of that! Anyway, I was just laying in bed when our house was broken into!
Cop: Sorry m'aam, it looks like he got away. I'll get in touch with you if your TV turns up anywhere.
Jacklyn: Thanks for coming over, officer.

Jacklyn: The house was so quiet with just Derrick, Michael, and me. Of course, that quiet wouldn't last long- shortly after Alyssa and Jacob left, I found out I was pregnant.

Michael: But that's great news! We're going to have to get a crib, and a changing table, and build a nursery- Don't you worry about a thing; you just rest and I'll take care of everything!

Michael: Like any doting husband, I catered to Jacklyn's every whim throughout her pregnancy. She was always hungry for beef- this baby isn't going to be a vegetarian, that's for sure!

Michael: Derrick was a great help too; he had been studying the art of cooking, among other things, and he had gotten quite good at it.

Michael: But between school, studying, and helping out with his mom, Derrick still found time for his friends. Jayden Louie, in particular. Like Derrick, she aspired to know everything there is to know, and the two could spend hours talking about things that were way over my head, at any rate.

Michael: Even though she was on maternity leave, Jacklyn was still determined to work. I swear she gave more makeovers during her pregnancy than she had since we moved here.

Michael: I was also working hard. I figured the more promotions I got, the better I could pamper the baby.

Michael: Finally the big day came and Jacklyn gave birth to our third son! Say hello to Ashton Edwards.
